Dr Neil Phillips is researcher on the ENDOWS project, which is a multi-institutional, interdisciplinary project within NERC’s Drought and Water Scarcity Programme. His work includes conducting and recording the outcome of creative experiments in knowledge exchange, the development of evaluative questionnaires and conducting surveys. Analyses and interprets the results of own research and generate original ideas based on outcomes.
He has previous experience of working on Citizen Science projects. He enjoys the challenge of using scientific and mathematical methods when solving common problems and finding ingenious solutions. Areas of expertise: unconventional computing, biomimicry, power electronics, motor design, auto-balancing systems, collaborative wind turbines, vacuum drying, liquid marbles, bio-sensing, high temperature superconductors, nanotechnology, and TRIZ.
